Tenuta Luce della Vite Luce Brunello di Montalcino

Located in the viticultural zone of Montalcino, southwest of this medieval town, the Luce della Vite estate comprises 192 hectares, with approximately 55 under vine. Originally a joint venture between Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi, today the wine estate is part of the Tenute di Toscana holding company, which in turn is controlled by Marchesi de Frescobaldi. Lamberto Frescobaldi now has the responsibility of shaping the future of the wine project originally undertaken by the founders.

Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel at 30 degrees for 12 days. Macerated on skin for 4 weeks. Full malolactic fermentation. Aged in Slavonian oak casks and hand-split French barriques 100% once-used for 36 months, in casks and in barriques.

Most of the vineyards were planted in 1977 with 3,500 vines per hectare, while new plantings were added in 1997 and 1999, with a higher density of 6,170. Sustainable agriculture practices to promote the health of the vines.

Tasting Note
An elegant and well-structured wine with aromas of ripe berry fruits, dried plums and spices. The palate is complex with well integrated nuances of toasty oak and liquorice and a lingering finish.

Everyday Serving Suggestion
Roast/grilled vegetables, vegan stir fry and vegan rice dishes.
