Sula Vineyards Zinfandel from India

Originally from Puglia (and possibly from Croatia before that) Zinfandel has spread to many of the newer wine regions of the world, partly because of its climatic adaptability, but also because of it's inherent drinkability. This Zinfandel from Sula is no different, with bright raspberry, jammy fruit and cinnamon laced spiciness. Fine, supple tannins and a pleasing savoury nuance to the finish make the wine a great accompaniment to heartier foods, perhaps with a lightly spicy Mexican tortilla with plenty of beans and peppers.
The wine was fermented cool to retain varietal fruitiness, and then aged for three months in older oak barrels to integrate the flavours and soften the mouthfeel. No animal-based fining agents or winery aids were used during the vinification.

Established in 1997 in the Nashik hills, Sula Vineyards were one of the pioneers of viticulture in India. Widely regarded as the nation's premium wine producer, they are committed to crafting distinctly Indian wines with contemporary and vegan-friendly winemaking techniques.
