Sula Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc from India
Sula Sauvignon Blanc is a delicious vegan white wine from India. Recognising the potential of the Loire varieties at their high altitude vineyard sites in the Nashik hills, Sula pioneered the planting of Sauvignon Blanc alongside their Chenin in the late 1990s. The result is an interesting blend of Old World and New World styles, with the minerality and temperate fruit qualities of the wines of France and the slightly more herbaceous aromatics of a Marlborough-esque Sauvignon. There's an intriguing smokey note here too, leading into a long, mouthwatering finish that tastes all the better for the fabulously good price. This is a wine for drinking chilled on the patio on a summer's evening, or as an accompaniment to the aromatic fragrance of a vegan Thai green curry.

The grapes were fermented in stainless steel for between 25-30 days to preserve the vibrant fruit flavours. No animal-based fining agents or winery aids were used during the vinification.

Established in 1997 in the Nashik hills, Sula Vineyards were one of the pioneers of viticulture in India. Widely regarded as the nation's premium wine producer, they are committed to crafting distinctly Indian wines with contemporary and vegan-friendly winemaking techniques.
