Javier Sanz Villa Narcisa Verdejo

Javier Sanz's family have been winegrowers for four generations. Javier's great grandfather, Agustan Nanclares, started making wine from the grapes grown in their Villa Narcisa estate, which is the name given to Javier's premium wine. Javier has 104 hectares of his own vineyard and a modern winery, but maintains that the key to growing good grapes is a traditional relationship between the grower and the vine.

Vinification
Hand harvested and sorted, then fermented in stainless-steel vats. To prevent oxidisation, harvesting is done by night and inert gas-blanketing of the grapes from vineyard to press is used.

Viticulture
Low bush vines.

Tasting Note
Vibrant flavours of grapefruit and bitter lemon with a lovely crisp and lingering finish.

Everyday Serving Suggestion
Great with grilled vegetables and vegan stir fry.

Country / Region / Appellation
ES / Castilla y Leon / Rueda DO
