Viticulture:
The region of Picpoul de Pinet is one of the earliest civilized places on earth and has been a wine making area for over 2000 years. The village of Pinet is situated near Thau where the noble grape known as Piquepoule was first thought to be grown and which in turn gave the name to the wine known today as Picpoul de Pinet – a wine produced from the limestone soils of the Mediterranean and the celebrated southern French sun. The vineyards is composed of superb terroir which enable us to produce wines of character, typicity and premium quality. Average yield 45h/ha

Soil:
limestone soils

Vinification:
At the height of maturity the fruit is handpicked and then transferred into the winery where it is destemmed and then cold racked. Fermentation is initiated and is maintained at a cool temperature of 16°C. The ferment is then aged on its lees for approximately 6 months to give the wine added depth of character.

Every day serving suggestion:
Best enjoyed young and served at 8°C with grilled vegetables and or vegan Mediterranean salads.
