Winery Information: 
One of the most dynamic and brilliant winemakers from the South of France, where he owns no less than seven estates among the most prestigious terroirs of Languedoc Roussillon, Gérard Bertrand was named in 2012 as the "European Winery of the Year" by Wine Enthusiast and "Red Wine Maker of the Year" by the IWC. 
 
Viticulture: 
Languedoc Roussillon, where the garrigue meets the sea, has an exceptionally
diversified terroir. Average yield : 50h/ha
 
Soil: 
clay limestone
 
Vinification: 
Hand picking of the grapes. Bleeding of a vat with cold must settling and a low temperature fermentation as to extract the most out of the fruit.
 
Tasting Note: 
Deep red colour with shiny tints. The nose is complex, both floral (violets) and fruity (red fruits, raspberries). Smooth in the mouth with a lot of fruit and spice. Very long aromatic finish with very soft tannins and a lot of depth. 
 
Every day serving suggestion: 
To be served at 12-13C Ideal with vegan Mediterranean cooking during summertime, mixed salads, grilled vegetables or on its own as an aperitif.
