Chateau Ksara Gris De Gris
Chateau Ksara Gris de Gris
Grape variety: 60% Grenach Gris, 40% Carignan
From: Bekaa Valley Lebanon
Although not as dark or as serious as their Sunset Rose, Chateau Ksara's Gris de Gris is not a rose to be sniffed at. Complimenting the light redcurrant aromas is an intriguing floral character, redolent of jasmine and peony, underscored by a streak of searing acidity that keeps the wine vibrant and fresh. Light in colour and elegant on the palate, this is the perfect summer wine for drinkers who like to keep their rose interesting.
In the winery, malolactic fermentation was avoided to retain the fruit freshness. No animal-based fining agents or winery aids were used during the vinification.
Chateau Ksara is Lebanon's oldest winery, founded in the early 19th century. An industry pioneer, it has adapted the best of French winemaking tradition to forge a distinctly Lebanese style. Continuing in this spirit, today it combines organic viticulture with low-sulphur and vegan-friendly winemaking technology.
