Andeluna 1300 Cabernet Sauvignon
Andeluna 1300 Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendoza, Argentina
Cabernet Sauvignon often plays second-fiddle to Malbec in Argentina, but with a climate as suited to viticulture as Mendoza's, it's rapidly gaining in popularity. This offering from Andeluna is both complex and approachable, with classic Cabernet flavours of blackberry, cloves and black pepper, with subtle vanilla inflections from the oak. As with all of Andeluna's wines, this is incredibly good value. Try it with a vegan burger with a spicy bean patty or with the smokey flavours of some roasted Mediterranean vegetables.
Following fermentation, the wine was aged for three months in French oak casks, and then matured for a further 3 months in bottle, melding the fruit and oak flavours. No animal-based fining agents or winery aids were used during the vinification.
