This is a rose with slightly more oomph in it than is typical for the style. Made from the indigenous Portuguese grape Castelao, it has bright, moreish flavours redolent of strawberries and cream. This would lend itself well to matching with deli food, or simply as a party crowd pleaser.
In the winery, the grapes were fermented cool to retain the natural fruit flavours. No animal-based fining agents or winery aids were used during the vinification.
