Andeluna 1300 Malbec
Andeluna 1300 Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina
It's rare to find wines of such consistency year in, year out, but the Andeluna 1300 Malbec never fails us, vintage after vintage. It's an impeccably judged combination of vibrant, juicy fruit flavours and the richer, more complex qualities that can only come from skilled winemaking and maturation. On the palate This vegan red wine shows notes of strawberry and plums combine with a delicate floral character, finishing with a touch of vanilla and some hallmark Malbec spiciness.
Fantastic value for money, and eminently quaffable. Equal parts party wine, Friday night-in wine, and if you so desire, food wine. Try it with ratatouille or a spicy vegan pizza.
Following fermentation, the wine was aged for three months in French oak casks, and then matured for a further 3 months in bottle, melding the fruit and oak flavours. No animal-based fining agents or winery aids were used during the vinification.
